How the plans are built

Each plan reads its books in canonical order and splits the chapters so every day has close to the same number of verses, instead of a fixed number of chapters. Long chapters such as Psalm 119 get a day mostly to themselves; short ones are grouped. Reading times assume 238 words a minute, the average silent reading rate for non-fiction in a 2019 review of 190 studies.
